Compare: Tuna and Salmon

What's the Better Choice?

There is nothing better than fresh seasonal fish like yellowfin tuna and wild salmon. They both contain the same number of calories, but yellowfin tuna aka “ahi” is less fatty and offers eight more grams of protein than wild salmon, and is prized for its mild but not fishy flavor. Although wild salmon contains more fat, it also has more heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids.  A great place to find more information about your fish choices is http://www.montereybayaquarium.org/cr/seafoodwatch.aspx. The Monterey Bay Aquarium is all about fish. They want to inform you about where they come from and what choices are the best for you to make when choosing fish. It is known that farmed Salmon is genetically modified to grow 3 times its’ size and the flesh will come out white. Fish farmers will dye it pink so it will “look” like wild salmon.
